How is the trust score calculated?

Each doctor's trust score (0–100) is calculated from patient-submitted verification reports. Recent reports are weighted more heavily than older ones. A score of 85 or above means multiple patients recently confirmed their insurance was accepted. Below 65 means reports are mixed, outdated, or mostly denied.

Do I need an account to use MDAccept?

No. You can search doctors and submit verifications without creating an account. Your insurance plan is stored locally in your browser only.

How do I verify a doctor visit?

After your appointment, click "Verify a Visit" in the navigation. Search for your doctor, select your insurance plan, and confirm whether it was accepted or denied. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.

What is the Draw Call List feature?

On the map view, you can draw a freehand line across multiple doctor markers to select them all at once. A Call List panel opens with each doctor's phone number so you can call each office and quickly log whether they accept your insurance.

What insurance plans does MDAccept support?

MDAccept supports all major US health insurance plans including Aetna PPO and HMO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and HMO, Cigna, UnitedHealth, Humana, Kaiser Permanente, Molina, Oscar Health, Anthem, Medicare Part B, and Medicaid.

Can I trust a doctor with a low trust score?

A low trust score means patient reports are mixed or outdated — it does not necessarily mean the doctor is bad or that your insurance won't be accepted. Always call the office directly to confirm. Trust scores reflect crowdsourced data at a point in time.

What does "call wait time" mean on a doctor's profile?

Accepted Answer

Call wait time is the average time patients report waiting on hold when they called the doctor's office. This is crowdsourced from patients who used MDAccept's Call List feature. It helps you plan your time when calling to verify insurance.

How does MDAccept get its doctor data?

Accepted Answer

Doctor listings come from the NPI Registry — the US government's National Provider Identifier database, which contains over 6 million licensed healthcare providers. It's updated regularly and is publicly available.

I'm a doctor or practice manager. Can I update my listing?

Accepted Answer

Doctor profile claiming is coming soon. In the meantime, if you believe a report about your practice is inaccurate, email support@mdaccept.com and we will review it.
