Terms of Service

Effective date: April 21, 2025

Important: MDAccept provides crowdsourced patient reports for informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice or a guarantee of insurance coverage. Always confirm insurance acceptance directly with the provider before your appointment.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using MDAccept at mdaccept.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who submits a verification report.

2. Description of service

MDAccept is an informational platform that aggregates crowdsourced patient reports about health insurance acceptance at medical practices. We do not provide medical advice, insurance advice, or any guarantee of coverage. The data on this site is submitted by users and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

3. Medical and insurance disclaimer

MDAccept is not a substitute for contacting your insurance company or the doctor's office directly. Trust scores and verification reports reflect user-submitted information at a point in time. Insurance contracts change frequently. Always call the provider to confirm insurance acceptance before booking an appointment.

Nothing on MDAccept constitutes medical advice. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical decisions.

4. User-submitted content

When you submit a verification report or wait time rating, you confirm that:

  • You personally visited the doctor or have direct knowledge of the insurance outcome you are reporting.
  • The information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You are not submitting false, misleading, or malicious reports.

By submitting content, you grant MDAccept a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, aggregate, and use that content in connection with operating the service. You waive any claim to compensation for submitted content.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, fabricated, or misleading verification reports.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to submit reports or scrape data.
  • Attempt to manipulate trust scores for any doctor or practice.
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or harm any healthcare provider.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute MDAccept's data or software.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.

6. Accuracy of data

MDAccept makes no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on the site. All data is user-submitted and provided "as is." We are not responsible for decisions you make based on information found on MDAccept.

7. Healthcare provider rights

Healthcare providers who believe a report about their practice is false or defamatory may contact us at support@mdaccept.com to request a review. We will investigate and remove content that violates these terms. We do not guarantee removal of accurate negative reports.

8. Intellectual property

The MDAccept name, logo, design, and software are the property of MDAccept. You may not use them without written permission. Aggregated, anonymized data published by MDAccept (e.g. acceptance rates by area) is owned by MDAccept and may not be redistributed without permission.

9. Third-party services

MDAccept uses third-party services including CARTO for map tiles and open government APIs (NPI Registry). Your use of map features is subject to CARTO's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party data sources.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MDAccept and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to surprise medical bills, incorrect insurance outcomes, or decisions made based on trust scores or verification reports.

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of MDAccept shall not exceed $100 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MDAccept and its operators from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your submitted content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to MDAccept for any user who violates these terms, submits fraudulent reports, or engages in conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of MDAccept after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
